I first discovered Ivan Bel's blog on Facebook a few years ago. We met in Amsterdam in 2020 and had a quick chat. I was curious to know more about his work, but some "global events" happened. Meanwhile, we started working together on Shiatsu Resources Worldwide, and I recognized that we share a very similar vision for the development of Shiatsu.
It wasn’t until I took part in a seminar with him in Kiental during the Shiatsu Congress in 2023 that the idea of a workshop in London started forming.

Key Aspects of Anpuku:
Key Aspects of Anpuku:
- Focus on the Abdomen: Anpuku primarily targets the abdominal area, which is considered the body's center of energy, or "Hara" in Japanese. It aims to balance and harmonize this central energy.
- Benefits:
- Digestive Health: Helps in relieving digestive issues and promoting healthy bowel movements.
- Stress Relief: Calms the nervous system and reduces stress and anxiety.
- Circulation: Improves blood and lymphatic circulation in the abdominal region.
- Detoxification: Aids in the elimination of toxins from the body.
- Techniques:
- Gentle pressure and rhythmic movements are applied to the abdomen.
- The practitioner uses hands, fingers, and sometimes elbows to massage specific points.
- Techniques can vary from deep and strong to light and gentle, depending on the needs of the individual.
- Holistic Approach: Anpuku is not just a physical therapy but also addresses emotional and spiritual well-being, promoting overall health and balance.
- Historical Roots: The practice of Anpuku dates back to ancient Japan and has been refined over centuries. It is deeply rooted in the principles of traditional Chinese medicine, which were integrated into Japanese healing practices.

Testimonials from participants
Anthony and Snezhana's workshop on Rebalancing Energies is a great resource for anyone who has
difficulty with any kind of stress or moments of distress in life. They took us through many different ways
of looking at what we have going on in our daily lives and different ways to approach working with
anything that we may want to get moving through our bodies. I came away feeling energised and deeply
connected to my own energy and the field around me. This is work that is so important in today's world
when we are bombarded with outside stressors at every level. Remembering that we have an energy body
ourselves and that it needs a bit of care and protection is such valuable work. I couldn't recommend this
workshop enough for anyone who is interested in finding ways of creating more peace and prosperity in our
own lives. Many thanks for a great workshop and wonderful insights.

Anthony and Snezhana's Resource Balance Workshop was a day well spent with a nice group of interesting people in a beautiful venue (The Dojo, Kensal Green, North West London).
For me personally, it was a great introduction to Tai Chi which has inspired me to take Tai Chi classes in the future.
Throughout the course of the day, I gained some interesting insights into the way that my own mind works and how I might be able to become more 'open' and grow as a person.
The hands-on shiatsu practice at the end of the day was very soothing and I finished the day feeling very relaxed, positive, mentally and physically soothed.
Highly recommended.

I really loved my experience with Anthony and Snezhana. It was a very comfortable space and they
provided a good balance between practical exercises and theoretical explanations around very useful
concepts and practices. I took away many tools that I will use in my own life to increase my energy levels,
connection to myself, and have better balance.

I recently attended a Resource Balance workshop held in the beautiful DOJO space in London. It was great
to be able to connect with other people in a safe and sacred space where we learnt under the guidance of two
talented and passionate individuals, practices to harness and resource our energy levels and vitality. I will
definitely be using these practices going forwards. I found it lovely connecting in person and well worth the
journey/effort getting there, rather than opting just for online classes. Screens have their limitations! I left
feeling confident and empowered in helping myself recover from chronic illness in a positive way with
others. Great for therapists wanting to learn more techniques for their practice or for people like myself
recovering from illnesses or just looking for ways to live a good, authentic life.

People come to Shiatsu very often because they experience pain. They want to get rid of it as fast as possible. With every session they reconnect with their bodies, becoming more aware of their life choices. Postponed dreams, unspoken fears, regrets and unsatisfied desires bubble up to the surface of their consciousness and make the transformation occur.
In the background of every session is the connection between 2 human beings - the process of being seen and heard, as you are.
There are core skills which set up the space where the transformation can happen.
We will start the Empowerment Series with introducing and developing our meta skills.
What is an embodied meta-skill?
I use this term in its broader meaning – these are the skills that support you to enhance the learning of other skills. In this particular workshop we will bring our attention to the alignment of our heart, mind and body and from there we will build up the process of rediscovery, unlearning and empowerment.
The development of these embodied meta-skills is like the preparation of the most suitable and fine tools for creating an art masterpiece, like tuning an instrument before a concert. These skills engage all of your being and using verbal description narrows their nature.
I will be the facilitator in the space but the dynamics of the process of learning, sharing and empowering will be the co-creation of each and every participant. We will work in pairs and as a group.
